On Thursday 16th October the presentation of the extension of the agreement establishing the terms of collaboration between the Department of Education of Catalonia and Roberlo took place in the offices of the Generalitat in Girona.
The agreement establishes the terms of cooperation for the promotion and launching of the intermediate level training course in Bodywork, the intermediate level training course in Electromechanical maintenance (construction and maintenance of buses and coaches) and the higher level automotive training course, in the nine educational centres where the courses currently take place.
The company considers it fundamental to invest in professional development and training and therefore collaborates with the Department of Education to provide training and facilitate entry into the workplace for students on professional training programs related to the sector, as well as promoting training activities to improve the qualifications of industry professionals.
The Department of Education considers this collaboration necessary for the comprehensive training of students on programs from the professional group of Transport and maintenance of vehicles linked to this agreement, given the profile of the company in this product sector, the advantage of having available tools and equipment suitable for use in the modules related to paintwork, and the benefit of students becoming familiar with products and equipment which they will often encounter in their future professional lives.
The agreement allows provision of basic professional training in the areas of paintwork, aligns the training program with the needs of the sector, and facilitates entry into the workplace for the young people trained on the courses.
Roberlo provides the formulation software and technical documentation relating to the vehicle paint repair techniques in the secondary schools that fall within this agreement and provides expendable, digital and other specific materials from the company in order to carry out the activities of teaching and learning, as well as providing training and technical advice on the use of equipment and materials to the teaching staff.
For its part, the Department of Education will make the spaces and facilities of the secondary schools linked to this agreement available to the company in order to carry out product presentations, talks, conferences, events related to the profession, organise technical days, competitions and Catskills, etc.
The agreement will be valid until 31st August 2019 with the possibility of continuing in future courses upon the signing of a new agreement.
