Roberlo and Dexia System worked together at the Catalan bodywork WorldSkills championship event, sponsoring the event and providing the necessary material to carry out the technical tests.
The Championship took place last May in Lleida, Catalonia, where 10 students took part.
The exercise consisted of the preparation and rapid application process on a wing. To carry out the test, the contestants used the Versis primer filler, working wet-on-wet (non sanding), then our paint and finally the Kronox 3100 clear coat hardened with the K38 ultra-fast hardener.
Yeray Pargaña from the Mollet del Vallès Institute won the competition and will go on to compete in the following phases of the competition: SpainSkills, EuroSkills and ultimately WorldSkills. To choose a winner, the jury assessed aspects such as preparation, cleanliness of the work area, final part finish, etc.
The main purpose of WorldSkills is to promote vocational training through the participation of the student in a competition that adds extra motivation to their vocational training, as well as providing a very enriching personal experience.
Madrid was going to be the organiser of the final phase of WorldSkills 2015, 40 years since the last time that Spain was the host and 65 years since the first WorldSkills championship was held in Madrid. However, after the Spanish government withdrew from the organisation for economic reasons, the WorldSkills final will be held in São Paulo, Brazil.
