Our Baltic Coatings subsidiary has recently opened a centre in St. Petersburg to provide training courses and better service to our customers.
This gives us greater proximity to the Russian market and allows us to offer better attention and technical-commercial service to workshops and points of sale in the country.
This centre has fully equipped offices and a training area. The latter is called the “Baltic Refinish Academy”. Its facilities include a large work area with a spray booth, training room, 4 meeting rooms and a dining room.
The space is spread over two floors totalling 450 m2, where 14 people work. A young team but with great knowledge, skill, vitality and entrepreneurial spirit.
The Baltic Coatings factory is in the Kaliningrad region, from where it distributes its products to different areas of Russia, including the Saint Petersburg and Moscow areas.
Our Russian subsidiary opened its production plant in 2008. By marketing Roberlo and Kroy (exclusive brand for Russia) products over the years, Baltic Coatings has gradually increased its market penetration uninterrupted, and is now well-positioned and with good brand recognition.
As for the training work at “Baltic Refinish Academy”, we are convinced that teaching people how to use our range properly provides better applications, more customer satisfaction with products and, consequently, greater brand loyalty. This is why the whole Roberlo Group is committed to reinforcing training services for painters and panel beaters, something that is particularly important with Roberlo's new color systems.
This year, the training centre has already conducted courses for business partners from 16 Russian cities (Kazan, Moscow, Ufa, Chelyabinsk...) and from 3 bordering countries: Lithuania, Latvia and Kazakhstan. Baltic Refinish staff have also travelled to give presentations at customer locations in different regions, such as Yaroslavl, Orel, Krasnoyarsk, Barnaul, etc.
Considerable work on marketing and communication has also been carried out during 2017 in Russia, by renewing the company image, a new catalogue, website, corporate videos, newsletter service, and by activities on social networks such as Facebook, YouTube and VK (a very popular network in Russia).
