Roberlo acquires industrial paint company Cromaresme

We are pleased to announce that Roberlo has acquired all of the activities of the chemical company Cromaresme SL.

Cromaresme is located in Dosrius (Barcelona) and specializes in the design and manufacture of customized paint systems for industry and for the painting of plastics and glass. This acquisition will add 21 new employees.

This agreement will allow Roberlo Group to strengthen its growth and diversification strategy while providing Cromaresme with greater resources and opportunities to develop in all sectors and technologies in which it is a clear reference point at national level.

With this operation, we will integrate the management and general industry laboratories in Riudellots de la Selva, under the Disolac brand, which will make it possible to focus the efforts of the Dosrius team on the development of paint for plastic and glass.

Cromaresme: from its origins to today

The company, initially called Pinturas Maresma S.A., was founded in 1955 by Antonio Colomer Nogeras and spent its early years manufacturing polyurethanes, later focusing its business on paint for plastics in the 1970s and 1980s.

The company moved its facilities from Mataró to Dosrius in 1987, coinciding with its specialization in the manufacture of paint for the motorcycle industry, with large accounts such as Piaggio-Derby, Honda, Gas Gas, Suzuki, and Yamaha, making it a leader in the sector.

Years later, the knowledge gained in the two-wheeled market allowed the company to expand into painting of plastics for automobiles, a section that is currently one of the important parts of the business. In this segment, Cromaresme manufactures paint for exterior elements, such as gas caps, rear view mirrors, bumpers, spoilers, etc.

Each color matching to replicate patterns of the leading automakers the company currently works with (Audi, Jaguar, Renault, Ford, Toyota, PSA, Honda, Nissan, etc.) is an exciting challenge for the company's R&D&I.

The Barcelona company also carried out an endless number of jobs for plastics in sectors such as small home appliances, cosmetic packaging, lighting, furniture, toys, etc.

Finally, over the last few years, the company has been developing the paint for glass area. This area does custom projects for perfume bottles, liquor bottles, and glass in general.

The added value of Cromaresme

Agility and flexibility are undoubtedly two of the company's strong points. Cromaresme specializes in designing custom painting systems and developing color collections with innovative effects. Its services include extensive technical assistance and close collaboration with the customer to develop each project together.

The company also has an outstanding team of color experts. The wide variety of needs in the motorcycle sector required the development of quality products with tinted clear coats, anodized effects (matt), special colors, coloring agents...and this know-how has been transferred to the automobiles and glass.

By joining us, Cromaresme increases its production and sales capacity, because it will form part of a highly international group that will offer its expertise to new markets where Roberlo is establishing itself, opening new horizons for both the company and its customers.

From this point forward, Cromaresme and Roberlo will join forces to seek solutions that are best suited to the needs of each customer, either with Cromaresme's custom projects for plastic and glass, or in general industry with the Disolac line.
